The Project

Stockbroker, Peel Hunt, had carried out a management buy-out from KBC and wished to move to new offices designed to suit the company`s new image and style.

Peter Lance and James Proctor of Allsop, acquired the 25,000 sq ft floor at Moorhouse on London Wall, having carried out a detailed search of suitable buildings in the City of London.

Client Objectives

To create a new style and image for the rapidly expanding broker in the Client facing areas including the Reception, Dining and Meeting rooms. To maximize the space to locate as many trading desks as possible, ably supported by the latest technologies.

Key Facts

The reception area was designed to be the first introduction to the Peel Hunt Brand. It is designed to be less of a reception area and more of a meet and greet, welcoming facility, where visitors arrive and feel the personal touch of Peel Hunt, the organisation and the people. This message was reinforced through the extensive use of naturally occurring materials including stone and warm timbers, complimented by polished plaster and evocative art work. Peel Hunt wanted to say “Traditional with a Modern twist” and the curves in the architecture were used to create this sense of welcome & warmth.
