Benefits of office relocation in the City of London
Relocating your office to the City of London adds prestige to a brand; the ‘Square Mile,’ and its surrounding neighbourhood, has been the centre of London’s business district for decades. Clients will be impressed by an address in the heart of London’s most illustrious location and it could significantly increase new business. It has excellent transport links – both within London and to other cities in the UK, since mainline rail services are within walking distance. The advantages are huge for international businesses, with The Stansted Express operating between Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport every 15 minutes.
Above all, an office move to the City of London demonstrates ambition: new occupants will share office blocks with high-profile companies from banking, professional services and the insurance industries. The City is home to a number of modern commercial buildings, including the iconic Gherkin skyscraper at 30 St Mary Axe.
Completed projects
Interactive Space has completed a number of relocation projects in the City of London. AmTrust Financial Services moved from serviced offices at the Lloyds Building to the 9th floor of 2 Minster Court, EC3 – a 10,000ft2 space. The insurance group needed new offices that reflected its brand’s image. They needed to replicate the style of its US headquarters, but with bespoke London features. Interactive Space supported AmTrust in their relocation, which took just six weeks. Another celebrated project was Natixis’s new office design in the City of London, which won a British Council for Offices (BCO) award and was described as a “calm, bright and thoughtfully designed working space”.
Other significant projects in the area required space planning, design and project management services; these included the financial consultancy firm Accuracy and the litigation firm Byrne & Partners’ – the latter of whom moved to larger premises at Plough Place, EC4. Interactive Space was also appointed Project Manager and Cost Consultant for commercial City law firm Bates Wells Braithwaite’s relocation to a new 25,000ft2 office space at 10 Queen Street Place, EC3.
